Serenity MedSpa offers sclerotherapy to clients who wish to improve the appearance of spider veins on their legs.
What is Sclerotherapy?*
During a sclerotherapy treatment, the doctor will inject a special medicine directly into the spider veins using a very thin needle. The medicine makes the vessels shrink and appear less noticeable or makes them disappear. It usually takes a few treatments to see results. Additional treatments can be done after one month. There is minimal downtime after the procedure.
Am I a good candidate for sclerotherapy?
Sclerotherapy is an effective and safe treatment for patients with small varicose veins or spider veins on their legs. An initial consultation with Dr. Lisa Kang helps ensure that you are a good candidate for the procedure.
You are not eligible if you are pregnant. If you have had a blood clot in the past in the legs, your eligibility will be decided on an individual basis, and will depend on the overall health of the area needing treatment as well as the reason for the clot.
Veins that are potentially usable for future heart bypass surgery will generally not be considered for sclerotherapy, unless they are already deemed unusable.
