Scar & Stretch mark Camouflage

Dr. Lisa Kang and Dr. David Kang have become well-recognized names in the field of medical spa treatments in the San Francisco, San Mateo and surrounding California cities. Serenity MedSpa offers San Francisco’s most innovative, safe and effective medial spa services.

If you are a patient that wants to rid yourself of unwanted scars or stretch marks, Serenity MedSpa offers scar and stretch mark camouflage with micropigmentation.

What is micropigmentation?

Micropigmentation is the process of implanting hypoallergenic pigments below the epidermis layer of the skin for corrective procedures. The pigment will, after a healing process, stay in the skin for a number of years, breaking down and fading with time, depending on age and skin type on the individual.

Micropigmentation is used to improve the appearance of scars such as from liposuction, face-lift or tummy tucks. It can be also used to improve discolorations from stretch marks, birthmarks, freckles, non-pigmented age spots, port wine stains, vitiligo, etc.

Natural skin is not one tone or shade. Neither should your micropigmented skin. No one wants to end up looking as though as though they are wearing badly matched foundation. Much of the work Medical Camouflage involves either 'normalizing' irregular skin color that have proven otherwise impervious to lasers and ultraviolet treatments, or matching damaged skin to the surrounding area so it blends naturally, rendering scars and skin imperfections inconspicuous even on close inspection.

It is important to remember that Medical Camouflage procedures demand a high degree of training and skill. They should never be attempted by the inexperienced, nor should they ever be performed in conditions that are not sterile. By having your treatment at Serenity MedSpa, you can relax in the knowledge your procedure will be performed by a highly qualified and experienced specialist with a MBMS (Bachelor Medicine/Bachelor Surgery) degrees and professional affiliations with leading Board Certified Cosmetic/Plastic/General Surgeons and Dermatologists. Patients are frequently referred to us by prominent plastic surgeons, dermatologists nationwide.
