Restylane
Dr. Lisa Kang and Dr. David Kang have become well-recognized names in the field of medical spa treatments in the San Francisco, San Mateo and surrounding California cities. Serenity MedSpa offers San Francisco’s most innovative, safe and effective medial spa services.
For those patients looking to replenish volume and contouring of their lips or diminish moderate to severe wrinkles, Serenity MedSpa offers restylane.
How does Restylane work?
Restylane is most commonly used for lip enhancement and to diminish wrinkles and signs of aging on the face around the nose and mouth, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles. Restylane works by revitalizing the skin by increasing elasticity structure, without the goal of adding volume, for example in the face and hands. Restylane is made of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally present in the body. When it breaks down and is absorbed into your body, the filler turns into water and carbon dioxide and disappears without leaving a trace.
Restylane is injected with a small needle under the skin. A treatment with a dermal filler like restylane can cause some temporary swelling and numbness for a few days. Other side effects are rare.
Am I a good candidate for Restylane?
Men and women of all ages look to Restylane to help with a variety of skin concerns, including:
- Forehead lines
- Crow’s feet
- Nasolabial folds (nose to mouth lines)
- Melomental folds (sad mouth lines)
- Orbital troughs (under and around eyes)
- Lip enhancement
Before you undergo any medical treatment, you should inform your doctor of any allergies and your medical history. Call today to schedule your Restylane consultation and discuss your treatment goals.
How Much Does Restylane Cost?
Since Restylane is considered cosmetic, some insurance companies won’t cover the cost. Serenity MedSpa works with many finance providers to ensure patients get their dermatology needs covered.
