Meet Dr. Lisa Kang

 Dr. Lisa Kang is a board-certified general surgeon and the founder and operator of Serenity MedSpa in downtown San Francisco, California.

She was born in South Korea and immigrated to the Bay Area with her family when she was nine years old. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, as an undergraduate, and earned degrees in both biochemistry and music. She continued her studies at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. where she received her M.D. degree. She furthered her training at the University of California Davis-East Bay Program (now called the University of California San Francisco-East Bay Program) where she completed her general surgery residency program.

For several years after her surgical training, she ran a successful private practice in San Francisco with her brother, Dr. David Kang. More recently, she has wholly focused her practice on noninvasive and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures for the face and the body at Serenity MedSpa. 

As leaders in this field, it is Dr. Lisa Kang and Dr. David Kang’s mission to seek out the safest, most innovative and advanced cosmetic laser and cosmetic dermatologic procedures available that deliver the most effective results to their clients. They are often among the first in the Bay Area to offer the latest treatments. 

Dr. Lisa Kang meets with each client to map out a customized treatment plan. She brings warmth and compassion to her work and personally performs all major cosmetic laser and advanced resurfacing treatments, as well as other popular procedures like Botox/Dysport and dermal filler injections. By combining her highly skilled surgical abilities with her artistic talent she delivers exceptional results.
